Extreme Ghostbusters: Code Ecto-1 for the Game Boy Advance is an action-adventure game based on the animated television series.
When Extreme Ghostbusters team members Roland and Garrett are kidnapped by the half-demon, half-human Count Mercharior, the remaining crew must launch a rescue mission. Guided by Dr. Egon Spengler from headquarters, Kylie and Eduardo set out across New York City to track down clues and reunite their team.
Players drive the iconic Ecto-1 vehicle to four different locations across New York City. Upon arriving at each destination, you take control of either Kylie or Eduardo to explore three distinct stages per area. Throughout each zone, you must battle supernatural enemies, defeat the area's Boss Ghost, and gather the clues required for the final confrontation with Count Mercharior.
