Bujingai: Swordmaster is a third-person hack-and-slash action game for the PlayStation 2 featuring acrobatic martial arts combat and supernatural sorcery.
Set in the year 22XX after a catastrophic calamity has brought demons into the world, the story follows martial artist Lau Wong (modeled after Japanese rock musician Gackt). Lau returns to a remote island to confront his former training partner, Rei Jenron, who has succumbed to demonic power.
Players wield dual swords to chain fast melee combos, deflect enemy attacks, and cast elemental magic spells. Movement relies heavily on wire-fu acrobatics, allowing Lau to glide through the air, run along walls, and battle demon hordes across eight stages.
