Burnout 3: Takedown for PlayStation 2 is an arcade racing game centered on high-speed driving and aggressive vehicle combat on busy public roads.
Burnout 3: Takedown introduces the Takedown mechanic, rewarding players with boost for ramming rival racers into walls, oncoming traffic, and roadside obstacles. The World Tour mode spans tracks across North America, Europe, and the Far East, featuring standard circuit races, one-on-one Face-Off challenges, and Road Rage events focused entirely on eliminating opponents.
Crash Mode also returns, tasking players with driving into busy intersections to trigger multi-vehicle pileups and achieve target damage scores using impact controls and score multipliers.
