Onimusha: Warlords for PlayStation 2 is an action-adventure game set in the Sengoku period of feudal Japan. This listing includes the game disc only.
Following the Battle of Okehazama, the samurai Samanosuke Akechi receives a letter from Princess Yuki requesting help after monsters begin abducting servants from Inabayama Castle. Granted the power of the Oni Gauntlet by the Oni clan, Samanosuke sets out with the kunoichi Kaede to rescue the princess and confront the demonic forces resurrecting the warlord Nobunaga Oda.
Players explore pre-rendered environments inside Inabayama Castle and its surrounding grounds, solving environmental puzzles and battling supernatural creatures. Combat centers on three elemental weapons imbued with thunder, fire, and wind magic. Using the Oni Gauntlet, Samanosuke absorbs souls from defeated enemies to restore health, replenish magic energy, and upgrade weapons and elemental orbs.
