Eragon for the PlayStation 2 is a third-person action-adventure game based on the fantasy film adaptation of Christopher Paolini's novel. This offer includes the game disc only.
Set in the land of Alagaësia, the story follows a young farm boy named Eragon who discovers a mysterious blue stone that hatches into a dragon named Saphira. Becoming the first Dragon Rider in generations, Eragon joins the mentor Brom and the Varden rebellion to fight against the tyrannical King Galbatorix and his Urgals.
Gameplay combines melee sword combat, archery and magic abilities with aerial dragon-riding stages on Saphira's back. Players battle enemy forces across forest, mountain and stronghold stages, using grapple combos, environmental hazards and magic push, pull or fire attacks, either solo with an AI companion or in local two-player drop-in co-op.
