Need for Speed Underground for the PlayStation 2 is the seventh entry in the Need for Speed racing series, focusing on nocturnal street racing and vehicle customisation.
Centred on underground night-time street racing, the game lets players build and modify import cars from the ground up using hundreds of licensed aftermarket parts. Featured licensed vehicles include models such as the Mazda RX-7 and the Nissan Skyline GT-R.
The single-player campaign spans more than 100 racing events accompanied by a hip-hop and hard rock soundtrack featuring artists like Mystikal, Rob Zombie, and The Crystal Method.
