Battleship for Nintendo Wii is a turn-based naval strategy game based on the film of the same name, where a fleet of US vessels must defend the seas against an alien invasion.
During a routine training exercise, a naval fleet is trapped inside an energy dome and attacked by extraterrestrial warships. Players command the fleet across 26 campaign missions to survive the assault and eliminate the alien threat.
Each turn allows players to position ships and engage enemy forces while managing fuel, ammunition, attack range, hull health, and water depth. Flanking enemies deals increased damage, and specialised units such as supply ships, repair vessels, and rubber rafts for capturing ports add tactical depth. Commanders provide passive unit bonuses and special abilities, while direct ship-to-ship encounters can be fought in an optional duel mode. Completed missions can also be replayed in skirmish mode with a chosen commander.
