Pokemon X for the Nintendo 3DS is a role-playing game set in the Kalos region, rendered in full 3D with a customizable protagonist.
Begin your journey by choosing one of three starter Pokémon and set out across the Kalos region. Your goal is to explore the world, battle other trainers, and record Pokémon data across the three sections of your Pokédex.
Pokemon X introduces the Fairy type, along with horde battles and sky battles. Certain Pokémon can undergo Mega Evolution during combat using a Mega Stone, temporarily boosting their stats and altering their appearance, typing, or abilities. Outside of battle, players can increase their team's stats through Super Training and bond with their Pokémon in Pokémon-amie by playing minigames and feeding them Poképuffs.
