Story:

After the events of A New Beginning, Spyro discovers that his friend Cynder has fled their temple. With his reluctant ally Sparx, Spyro sets out to find her, embarking on a journey that will introduce them to the mysterious Chronicler and ultimately lead to a confrontation with the villainous Gaul, the Ape King.

Gameplay:

The Eternal Night is a 3D action-platformer where players control Spyro as he searches for Cynder. Spyro gradually regains his fire, ice, earth, and electric breath powers, and also gains a new ability called "Dragon Time" which allows him to slow down time.

The game focuses on combat, with Spyro using his headbash and various elemental breaths to defeat enemies. By collecting blue gems from vanquished foes, Spyro can upgrade his abilities.
