Story:

Leaving behind the fictional settings of previous Ace Combat games, Joint Assault ventures into the real world. Engage in missions across London, Tokyo, and San Francisco, with elements of fiction still present, such as colossal flying fortresses.

Gameplay:

Gameplay largely mirrors its PSP predecessor, Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. Pilot fighter jets (in third-person or cockpit view) and engage in aerial combat against enemy aircraft (and other large flying foes), dodging incoming missiles. Completing missions, often involving eliminating set numbers of enemies or boss battles, earns currency to unlock new aircraft and upgrades.

New Features:

• Enhanced Combat View: Zooms in on distant aerial engagements to provide a closer look at the action.
• Co-op Campaign: Team up with other players to complete the entire campaign.

Multiplayer:

Apart from the cooperative campaign, multiplayer modes are identical to Skies of Deception, with the exception of supporting up to eight players instead of four.
