A Classic Reimagined

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a stunning remake of the original Tomb Raider, built with a technically more advanced graphics engine. While it follows the same basic storyline, many cutscenes and much of the dialogue have been expanded or modified, offering a fresh perspective on Lara's first epic journey.

Revamped Gameplay and Environments

Explore familiar locations from the original game, now re-designed with different layouts and mostly completely new puzzles. These redesigned challenges allow for the implementation of new moves introduced in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend, such as swinging on ropes and using a grappling hook at specific points. Puzzles in this version are generally more focused on acrobatics, with ledges being a prominent level design element, requiring skillful combinations of jumping and shimmying. This dynamic gameplay largely replaces the key-retrieval and block-pushing puzzles of the original.

Enhanced Combat and Thrilling Boss Fights

Combat remains similar to the first game, but now players must manually activate targeting for a more engaging experience. Some boss fights have been transformed into separate, enclosed stages, rather than being part of the general exploration. These encounters may include puzzle-solving elements and often require players to utilize Lara's new "adrenaline dodge" ability, which briefly slows down time when an opponent charges at her in an "enraged" state. Additionally, some cutscenes will require player participation through quick-time events.
